Working Principle of TPN Phase Selector Distribution Board

The SELVO TPN (Three Phase Neutral) Phase Selector Distribution Board is designed to ensure uninterrupted power supply by manually selecting an available phase in case of phase failure or power outage in one or more phases. The current ratings to handle maximum load capacity can be 40A, 63A, or 100A. 

TPN DISTRIBUTION: The TPN configuration includes three poles (R, Y, B phases) and a neutral connection. This allows for balanced power distribution in three-phase systems or independent operation of single-phase loads derived from the three-phase system.

CONSTRUCTION 

ENCLOSURE MATERIAL: Enclosures are fabricated in heavy-gauge CRCA Sheets, which have undergone the seven-tank treatment process and powder coated to ensure corrosion resistance and rusting, and also results in attractive appearance. The thickness of CRCA Sheets is 1.2 mm. 

High-quality brass neutral and earth links to prevent temperature rise and promote safer operation.

CAM Operated Rotary Switches: Assembled with Selvo cam-operated rotary switches for phase selection, which have been engineered and designed especially to meet the requirements of the latest concepts in switching technology. 

Indicators:  The board typically includes phase indicators (LEDs) to show the status of each phase, making it easier for the user to monitor which phase is active or has faults.

MCB : Each phase is equipped with an SELVO MCB to provide overcurrent and short-circuit protection. This ensures that the system is protected from potential damage due to electrical faults. A dedicated neutral bar ensures proper distribution of the neutral connection across the circuits.

ISOLATOR: This device is used for switching on and off, and is used at the incoming supply  

RCCB: This stands for residual current circuit breakers, which protect the electrical circuit from leakage. , can also be used in incoming. 

Wires: Selvo wires are used for connection; the distribution boards come with wiring. 

SELVO Phase Selector Distribution Boards are an electrical device for managing & distributing power across multiple circuits while providing the ability to select between different phases in a phase system.
